First issue on CD of an original vinyl album from 1985. Pressed in an edition of 500 copies.
Tapes were refound by members of Eton Crop whilst preparing their 40th anniversary as a band. The tapes were in quite a bad state and moldy. They were cleaned and restored by Fred Tabois.
The CD was released on Fred Tabois' funeral. He died 8 days before the release, that was planned on the same day he was cremated, on the 40th anniversary of Eton Crop during their 3 day Cropfest.
All songs recorded on 8-track at the Nickelodeon Studios, Amsterdam, except 10 which was recorded at Lion Studios, Aire St. Leeds and 3, a live recording from Leeds University December 1984.
Little different spellings on labels:
- 3, 12: The Three Johns
- 8: Surplus & Scarcity
- 11: Mekons
